this is the most important page on this site! we, at Monamittee, want your candle experience to be an enjoyable one. please make sure you read below the best way to care for ANY candle that you buy.
1. candles will get hot after you have burned them for some time.
***place the candle away from draft windows and/or ducts.
***they should not be placed anywhere near curtains or lamps.
***DO NOT place them near other flammable objects.
***do not move them while hot. gel becomes much hotter than regular wax.
2. just because the candle burn time is 30 to 40 hours does not mean you burn them for that amount of time.
***candles are only meant to burn for 2 to 3 hours and extinguished.
***once your candle has cooled, trim the wick to a nub and relight.
do not extinguish your candle with the lid
3. MOST IMPORTANT THAN ANYTHING!...
***keep your candle away from children and pets. make sure children and pets are not in reach while the candle is burning.
***DO NOT let your children light and/or play in the gel.
4. do not leave your candle unattended when lit. Time passes quickly.
***this means if are not in the bathroom, living room, etc. for a long period of time, do not leave the candle lit.
***do not leave the candle lit while you are sleeping.
***do not leave candles alone with your children or pets.
5. to prevent smoking, soot, buildup and wick mushrooming, keep wick trimmed very close to the gel (a nub). burn for only 2-3 hours. let the candle cool. trim the wick before relighting each time.
6. discontinue use when only 1/4" of the gel remains. do not let the candle extinguish itself.
7. some candles are strictly meant for decoration only. monamittee will inform you of which candles they are.
8. glass embeds may cause fumes. if this occurs, discontinue use.
